It's that time of the year again when just before H&M releases its Fall/Winter Season Studio Collection store-wide, we get the privilege of seeing the pieces first hand. I always love going to the preview and have a sneak peak of what will be in stores the coming season, try them out, pick out favourites and pieces that might intrigue me into buying.

The day after I came back from the US, I had the opportunity to attend the opening of the World Design Space at T Galleria by DFS Group at the City of Dreams. It's this new multi-brand concept store carrying brands targeted towards a younger market and I cannot be any thrilled to see what brands are featured there, specifically streetwear.

As a person who's into clothes, I feel that I'm partially responsible for contributing to the huge amount of unwanted garments going to waste and so the idea of recycling clothes is something I've always supported. In my own little ways, I try to minimise my contribution to the landfill by giving away my clothes to people who need them more; donating them to charities if not re-selling them; and occasionally when I have spare time, I re-create new pieces out of my old clothes.

It's that time of the season again where we pay a short visit to the H&M showroom to preview one or in this case, three of its latest collections - the H&M Studio SS18 Collection, Chinese New Year Collection, and Spring/Summer Ready-to-wear Collection.

I was recently invited to the multi-brand showcase presented by Popkorn, where they showcased the latest collections from brands such as Cheap Monday, 5Preview, Neuw, and the likes, and thought I'd share a few event visuals with ya'll.

Last weekend, I got invited by DFS (Duty Free Shops) Group for a staycation at the Venetian Macao for their annual Masters of Time Exhibition opening event. I was so thrilled and because it was the first weekend that I was free of all work projects, I wanted to make sure I made the most out of it by documenting and putting together a video. Besides. I haven't done a proper VLOG in a while so I was really excited to just get back to it.

The event was for the opening of the newest gentlemen's hub in the form of Timepieces & Whiskies by T Galleria DFS. As the name suggests, the concept store is all about watches and and alcohol. To my local readers - worth a check out for gifts and whatnot for the men in your lives. The event came in a perfect timing because Penguin's birthday was on the following day so I didn't have a hard time getting him the ultimate gift from the classic whiskies section.

A lot people forget that we did have a Victoria's Secret store already before this, in fact it's the very same one where it is now at the Venetian Macao, except that the old store was a rather small branch with only limited types of products available. This time, they expanded, making it a full-assortment store with the real VS signature products like the "Very Very Sexy" bra collection and everything else that's seen on the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show (sans the wings and Million Dollar Bra, of course).

It's always a pleasure visiting the H&M showroom in Hong Kong to preview its latest collections. Each time is a surprise waiting to greet us the moment that we enter; you can never guess what the arrangement will be like to fit the theme and mood of the collection.

The weekend turned out to be a bit eventful with a day trip to Hong Kong with Penguin to check out some of the happenings during Art Basel week. To be honest, we didn't get the chance to see the art installations at Art Central where the artsy stuff are actually at. While I appreciate art in all forms, for people like us who are into the fashion kinda art more than the others, we were inclined to attend the more fashion-related events and exhibitions, streetwear fashion nonetheless.

As per usual, H&M treats us VIP-style, starting off by sending first-class ferry tickets for us for a convenient travel experience from Macau to Hong Kong.

After ages that I haven't been to Hong Kong Fashion Week, I went back for a day over the weekend to check out on what I missed over the last three or so seasons. Well, its kinda sad to say that apparently, I didn't miss out on much. Except for the fact the whole event had been re-branded to what is now known as Centrestage, everything else seemed the same but even much smaller.

I love visiting the H&M showroom in Hong Kong to preview the latest collections to hit the stores. This time around, I got invited again to preview H&M Studio A/W 2016 Collection.

My first impression of sustainable fashion can be summed up to twelve-year-old me wearing reconstructed denim shorts and fabric scraps sewed on together into a tee of sorts, in a fashion show organized by our school for their young aspiring designers circa 2002.

2 months later I'm back at the H&M showroom for its Autumn/Winter 2015 Studio Collection preview. I'm particularly excited because if you know me well, I really prefer to style clothes for the cooler season. Coats, jackets, boots, and layers and layers of garments. I'm definitely thrilled

It was barely 9:30 in the morning but the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian is oozing with people as eager shoppers anticipate the store's opening. Hundreds of fashion enthusiasts lined up on one side of the store as a DJ plays loud music to pump up the atmosphere. Penguin and I were among the media and blogger crowd, which I couldn't be more thankful for seeing as I would not have survived queuing overnight just to get a chance to enter the store first.

Having to visit Hong Kong often to shop some of my favourite brands is a rigorous process that while it's fun, can be really tiring. This is particularly why I'm pretty stoked that some of these brands are finally coming to Macau, the latest addition being H&M. This summer will unveil its first ever flagship store at the Grand Canal Shoppes, Venetian, a two-storey retail space that will feature the brands latest womenswear and menswear trends and collections. I've had the chance to preview the modern bohemia inspired and monochromatic pieces that will hit the store this summer at the H&M showroom and it's enough to get me even more excited for the opening.

I'd been fortunate enough to be able to host this wonderful in-store shopping event, in celebration of Richard Nicoll's debut collection for the brand as newly appointed creative director. My guests and I definitely had the most fabulous time trying on the prettiest pieces from the collection itself, munching on cake pops, and decorating our own tote bags at the DIY station.

Leave Moiselle and Shanghai Tang out of the picture, I have only been particularly interested in the I.T. fashion show at Hong Kong Fashion Week this year. For someone who's very much into high street fashion, this is the ultimate event to attend. It's like a street style haven which you'll realize once you set foot on the Grand Foyer of HKCEC as you make your way amongst the fashionable bunch of show-goers. Towering platform heels, leathers, oversize coats, brim hats, and whatnot, it's a fashion subset so eminent you can only choose to immerse yourself in.
