H&M Studio AW16

I love visiting the H&M showroom in Hong Kong to preview the latest collections to hit the stores. This time around, I got invited again to preview H&M Studio A/W 2016 Collection.

Paying homage to its Swedish roots and focusing on the empowerment and beauty of women, the latest Studio collection boasts embellished pieces in masculine and feminine combined silhouettes. I, for one, am a big fan of masculine derived womenswear and so I found most of the pieces from this collection very relatable.

The collection caters to different kinds of women's style, from bohemian to classic chic. Theres' a billowy, thin, dress for the gypsy goddess; a crisp white shirt for the more corporate woman, styled to perfection with a bodice that almost functions like a corset but more understated; beaded and embroidered tops for the funky more funky chicks; and my some of my personal favourite, palazzo pants in various textures from velvet to corduroy. All these produced in monochromes, camel tones, and muted hues for an out there yet very wearable collection.

The preview also featured the latest addition, or should I say upgrade, to H&M's product lines: the new make collection dubbed "Fashion for your face". Complete from lips, eyes, and skin, to nail care products, this whole collection brings so much excitement, particularly because the products are set to be promising but affordable. I'm not a make-up person but seeing the collection makes me really excited for them to come out in the stores.

Unfortunately, the Studion Collection will not be sold in the Macau stores but of course, I can always go to the H&M stores in Hong Kong. I'm eyeing a few pieces that I'm going to get my hands for sure.

Thanks to the H&M Hong Kong family once again for having me over. Always a pleasure!
