What began as a short visit to my cousin Kendall in Dubai unexpectedly stretched into a two-week stay when COVID-19 finally caught up with me—or perhaps I caught up with it. Rather than dwelling on the setback, Pierre and I chose to make the most of our time, exploring Dubai’s vibrant offerings and creating content while staying cautious and safe.

There’s something about this trip and the city itself that ignited a sense of limitless possibility in me. I can’t quite put my finger on what it is, and truthfully, I’m still undecided about how I feel about Dubai. Regardless, we had an unforgettable experience, especially during our first trip to the desert. Standing there, surrounded by endless dunes, I was reminded of how small we are in the grand scale of the world—a truly humbling moment.
